Submitting Private Feedback
When you review a book, you’ll find Step 2: Private Comments in the submission form. This section allows you to provide feedback exclusively for the author and our team. -
Private Commentary Purpose
The purpose of adding a private commentary is to offer thoughtful feedback directly to the author without making it public. This can include constructive notes that don’t appear in the visible review, allowing you to maintain a positive tone publicly while sharing any specific suggestions privately. Private comments can also serve as words of encouragement—a cheer-up message that’s always appreciated! This feature helps build a supportive community and allows for a more nuanced review experience. -
Who can view the private communications I leave for an author?
Private communications, such as feedback or encouraging notes left in the private comments section, are only visible to the author and the Read & Rate team. These comments are kept confidential, allowing you to share constructive insights directly without them appearing publicly. This setup ensures that private feedback remains supportive and helpful while maintaining privacy for both the reviewer and the author. -
How can I access private commentary left for my books?
To view private comments, go to your dashboard and select All My Books. On each book card, click the "My Reviews" button to see all reviews received. Each review will have an option to "View Private Comment", allowing you to switch to view the private feedback. To return to the public review, simply click "View Review" again. -
Can we chat with each other, all the members?
Yes! We have a private Facebook group for community members to connect, share tips, and support each other. If you're a subscriber, you’re welcome to join the group and engage with fellow authors and reviewers. You can request to join here: Read & Rate Facebook Group.
